Inspire Students to Choose a STEM Career!

Posted By Administration, Thursday, April 16, 2015

Freedom Elementary in Buckeye is hosting a career day on May 13, 2015 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. As a STEM magnet school, they are specifically looking for guest speakers from STEM fields to come and meet with their 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.. The speakers will be talking to four groups of students for about 50 minutes each session. Roger Ketelaar, the coordinator suggests a 30 minute presentation, leaving about 20 minutes for Q&A. “The students want to hear the speakers tell about themselves and their work, what education their career requires, and what they enjoy about their career. There’s no better way to create a spark for a student than a personal connection.” To learn more, contact Roger at RKetelaar@liberty.k12.az.us.
