LIFE LINE TO THE FUTURE CONFERENCE – APRIL 7TH TUCSON Save The Cord Foundation http://www.savethecordfoundation.org , The Arizona BioMedical Research Commission http://www.azdhs.gov/biomedical and the Arizona Public Cord Blood Program http://www.azdhs.gov/biomedical/#az-public-cord-bloodprogram are reaching out to our friends and colleagues to invite you to the 2016 AZ Cord Blood Conference. This is a free event, open to the public, being held on the Phoenix University of Arizona campus on April 7th. We are reaching out to our teachers and students to attend who are interested in learning more about cord blood stem cells, their role in transplant and regenerative medicine and the opportunity for future STEM careers here in AZ. One of the key speakers will be Dr. Joanne Kurtzberg from Duke who has done amazing work using cord blood to treat cerebral palsy, autism and stroke. Cord blood scientist and researchers around the world are looking at using cord blood stem cells to treat AIDS, traumatic brain injury, type 1 diabetes, spinal cord injury and many more neurological injury and genentic diseases.
