What is it?

 

College offers many technical certificates (credit bearing) that lead to exciting careers specializing in delivering the relevant knowledge to help students emerge with real-world skills.


How is it done?

  • Full time Co-op District Coordinator runs the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Programs

  • Co-op District Coordinator continuously works with industry partners to coordinate skills necessary for employment

  • A minimum of 25 percent of the required credits must be taken in residency at the college to earn a certificate

  • The course catalog has specific information regarding certificates http://www.cochise.edu/degreescertificates/

  • Gainful employment disclosure for financial-aid eligible certificates includes cost, median loan debt, and normal completion time

  • Offer a wide range of certificate programs to train students to meet the demands of the rapidly changing fields of employment

  • All courses must be completed with a grade of C or better to earn certifications

  • Recruit students to programs

  • Offer Co-op Field Experience for students in some certificate programs
