The Website utilizes Creative Commons protocols to designate how shared materials can be utilized. Creative Commons is a nonprofit organization that enables the sharing and use of creativity and knowledge through free, standardized copyright licenses based on conditions of the author’s choice. Users that choose to share materials are required to select a Creative Commons designation for their work. Navigate using the link to the Creative Commons website and follow the instructions provided.
The Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 ("DMCA") allows a course of action for copyright owners who believe that their copyrights have been infringed on the Internet. Under the DMCA, copyright owners who believe that their rights have been infringed online by unauthorized use, display, or modification of their copyrighted works may contact the service provider hosting the material in question, directly or through their authorized agents, and request that the infringing material be removed or that the material be made inaccessible.
Science Foundation Arizona respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its Users to do the same. If you believe that your copyrighted work is being infringed, please notify Science Foundation Arizona’s designated Copyright Agent, Derek Richae, by completing the form at https://stem.sfaz.org/?page=help. You must provide the Copyright Agent with (a) a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or someone authorized to act on his or her behalf, (b) identification of the copyrighted work(s) claimed to be infringed, (c) identification of the claimed infringing Content, (d) a statement that the copyright owner believes in good faith that the use of the Content in the manner complained of is unlawful, and (e) a statement that the information in the claim is accurate and truthful, under penalty of perjury, and that the copyright owner has an exclusive right to the asserted material being infringed. Science Foundation Arizona will, upon receiving proper notice of a valid claim, act to remove or disable access to any such Content.
