Change the Equation | STEMWorks

The AZ STEM Network and Science Foundation Arizona are proud to be a partner in the AZ STEM works database hosted by Change the Equation (CTEq) This database of programsdeepens young people's learning in STEM. STEMworks is a critical resource for funders, program developers, and STEM advocates alike. Funders can find programs that maximize their return on investment. Those who develop STEM learning programs can benchmark their work against successful exemplars. Advocates can point to excellent programs as they make the case for quality.  In addition, Science Foundation Arizona is helping educators, business leaders, and other funders identify and support promising educational programs that improve science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) teaching and learning experiences.

In partnership with Washington, DC-based CTEq, SFAz is helping educators, business leaders, and other funders identify to identify exemplary and promising education programs that improve STEM through formal and informal teaching and learning experiences. This activity especially brings to focus Arizona STEM education programs of local interest that have national significance. The partnership between CTEq and SFAz has become the model for other states to follow.

As a consequence of the recently completed review jointly sponsored by CTEq (nationally) and SFAz (in Arizona),  six programs originating in Arizona are now part of the database: five have been accepted as EXEMPLARY, the highest category, and one more as PROMISING, the next level.
